Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Fenix is built around a simple rule: your footage stays yours. This page explains what data the App collects, how it's used, and who to contact with questions. Fenix is available across multiple platforms — see the Fenix website for the current list.

Account data

If you create an account, your email address is used for authentication (via Supabase) and to manage your entitlements and purchases. We use this only to identify you and secure your account — not for marketing or sold to anyone.

Video and audio content

Recordings you capture are processed on your device. Audio keyword detection and editing both happen locally — your video and audio content is not uploaded to any server we operate as part of normal operation.

Third-party platform connections

You may connect your own YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram accounts to Fenix via each platform's OAuth login. When you do, finished clips upload directly from your device to that platform's own API — we do not store or transmit your uploaded video or audio through any server we operate. OAuth access tokens for connected accounts are stored securely on-device only.

Each platform's own privacy policy also applies to what happens with content once it's published there. Fenix's access to a connected account is limited to the scopes needed to publish content on your behalf.

Data sharing disclosure

We do not share, sell, or transfer Google user data — including YouTube access tokens or the video content you upload — to any third party. When you publish a clip to YouTube, it uploads directly from your device to YouTube's own API. The video content and your access token never pass through, or get processed by, any server we operate.

Data protection mechanisms

OAuth access tokens (including for YouTube) are stored using Android Keystore-backed secure storage (flutter_secure_storage), on-device only. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. All communication with Google's API uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.

You can revoke Fenix's access at any time — either by disconnecting the account from within the App, or through your own Google Account's permissions page.

Purchases

Mobile one-time purchases and desktop subscriptions are processed through the relevant platform's own store (Apple App Store, Google Play) or through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details ourselves — that's handled entirely by those payment providers.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data, your footage, or your account information to anyone, for any reason.

Data retention

Connected-platform tokens and account information are kept for as long as your account exists or until you disconnect a platform. Locally processed video/audio content is stored on your device and managed the same way any other file on your device is.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
